The Mini Rex rabbit was developed in Texas in the 1980s by breeder Monna Berryhill. She aimed to create a smaller version of the Rex rabbit with the same luxurious fur. Recognized by the American Rabbit Breeders Association in 1988, Mini Rexes have since become a favorite for their compact size and soft fur.
